The Arabic component, in particular, is distinguished by open contours, low descenders, and low contrast forms, which makes it more suitable for signage, user interfaces, and small point sizes. Nonetheless, Mada's simplicity and modernist feel make it ideal for use as a display typeface. It is a slightly modified version of Paul Hunt's Source Sans Pro font from Adobe Type.
